Tuition: Regular Class - - $300.00 (10 sessions) or $360 (12 weeks)
Beginner I Emphasis is on survival Japanese, including the skills you need for basic conversational situations. A Japanese syllabary, Hiragana, is introduced. After completing this course you will be able to introduce yourself and others, tell day and time, ask for prices, and count objects. Maximum class size is six students.
Beginner II Maximum class size is six students. This course continues with survival Japanese. After completing this course you will be able to talk about places, ask about preferences, and make simple phone conversation.
Pre Intermediate These
courses are designed for those who have successfully completed the above
beginning courses, integrating vocabulary, grammar, and speaking skills
with everyday situations as the material. Students are required to have
a full command of Hiragana. Kanji (Chinese characters) are introduced.
Intermediate In this course, students become increasingly familiar with the written language while continuing to improve conversation skills. Writing components include how to write letters and memoranda. Conversation components focus on formal and informal speaking styles. In addition, more complicated constructions and a greater number of useful idioms are introduced. Maximum class size is six students.
Advanced - Reading Comprehension This
aims aims at increasing the students' familiarity with newspaper and
magazine articles. It includes an extensive study of Kanji compounds,
vocabulary and idioms building. Attendant practices
in conversation and grammar are designed to help raise the level
of the students' overall linguistic performance.
